US At least two people were killed and 28 injured in a mass shooting at a street party in Baltimore early on July 2.
Authorities received multiple calls reporting a shooting in the Brooklyn section of Baltimore, Maryland, just after 12:30 a.m., acting police commissioner Worley said.
"When officers arrived, we found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds," he said.
An 18-year-old woman died at the scene and a 20-year-old man died after being taken to hospital. The injured are being treated at area medical facilities, three of them in critical condition.

Worley said authorities are still trying to determine a suspect and a motive for the shooting. "This is a major crime scene, and our detectives will be there for quite a while," he said.
Speaking to reporters at the scene, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott condemned the shooting.
"It is a tragedy that absolutely should not have happened," he said. "It once again highlights the impact and need to address the overabundance of illegal guns on our streets."
"We will not stop until we find the cowards who opened fire on dozens of people, killing two," he added.
With more guns than people, the United States has the highest gun death rate of any developed country. In 2022, at least 44,357 people died from gun violence, 24,090 of them suicides, according to the Gun Violence Archive (GVA).
The July 2 incident was the 338th mass shooting this year, according to the GVA, which defines the term “mass shooting” as an incident involving a gun in which four or more people are injured or killed.
Baltimore, a city of about 575,000 people located 65 kilometers north of the US capital Washington, has one of the highest murder rates in the country.
