Yen Phuong Commune receives Certificate of recognition for meeting advanced new rural standards

On the morning of April 6, the Steering Committee for Advanced New Rural Areas (NTM) and Model New Rural Areas of Yen Lac district held a ceremony to announce the decision to recognize Yen Phuong commune as meeting the advanced new rural area (NTM) standards. Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Khac Hieu, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Yen Lac district; representatives of leaders of a number of departments and branches of the province.

Identifying the construction of advanced new rural areas as a key political task, the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of the commune have focused on leading, directing, promoting propaganda, raising awareness, creating consensus among the people, and mobilizing the entire political system to participate.

Up to now, Yen Phuong has completed all 19/19 criteria, with 79/79 targets of advanced NTM communes. 100% of rural roads are asphalted, concreted and have electricity; 3/3 schools meet national standards level 2; 10/10 villages have standard cultural houses. Currently, the whole commune has no more households living in temporary or dilapidated houses, 100% of households have access to clean water, the average production value and income reached 68.68 million VND/person; the poverty rate has decreased to 0.76%.

Congratulating the Party Committee and people of Yen Phuong commune on being honored to be one of the three communes of Yen Lac district recognized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as meeting the advanced NTM standards in 2023, Secretary of Yen Lac District Party Committee Nguyen Khac Hieu suggested that Yen Phuong commune continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, enhance the role and responsibility of the heads of Party committees, authorities and the entire political system in building and improving the quality of building advanced NTM. Focus on developing production, promoting the potential and advantages of the locality in agricultural production, promoting the application of scientific and technological advances, linking production with the market, improving productivity, quality and efficiency; at the same time, developing rural industries to increase people's income and sustainably reduce poverty. Effectively exploit cultural facilities; promote cultural, physical training and sports activities. Strengthen environmental sanitation work, renovate village roads and alleys, build bright, green, clean and beautiful roads, strive to reach the standards of a model new-style rural commune by the end of 2025.
