SHB Da Nang and Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc are the two teams that will play in the play-off match for the right to play in V-League 2025-2026.

On the evening of June 22, round 26 of V-League 2024-2025 took place simultaneously on 7 football fields across the country. In addition to the champion Nam Dinh and runner-up Hanoi, which were already determined in advance, the final round also determined the third-placed team, the relegated team, and the team that had to play the play-off to win the right to stay in the league.

Hanoi Police Club ranked 3rd after beating Hai Phong 2-0 at Hang Day Stadium. Quy Nhon Binh Dinh Club was relegated after losing 2-4 to Hanoi at Quy Nhon Stadium, ranking last with 21 points after 26 matches.

Although SHB Da Nang FC came from behind to win 2-1 at home against Song Lam Nghe An, they still only ranked 13th out of 14 teams with 25 points after 26 matches, thereby receiving a ticket to the play-off match. Because in the match at the same time, Quang Nam FC drew 3-3 with host Hoang Anh Gia Lai, thereby ranking 11th with 26 points.

Thus, SHB Da Nang Club will meet Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc in the play-off match on June 27 at Thong Nhat Stadium.

Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club is the runner-up of the 2024-2025 First Division with 44 points after 20 matches, behind the champion Phu Dong Ninh Binh who won a direct ticket to promote to the 2025-2026 V-League.

This play-off match promises to be very exciting. Because when playing against a first-class team, V-League clubs are not allowed to use foreign players. Meanwhile, the domestic force of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club is not inferior in quality to SHB Da Nang.

This is also an interesting confrontation between coach Le Duc Tuan (SHB Da Nang) and coach Huynh Quoc Anh (Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc) - the son of Da Nang football in the past.
