Preparing for the upcoming 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, the RISE BEYOND collection for Vietnamese sports by Dong Luc Sports Joint Stock Company has taken this story to a new level, with a clear philosophy: each athlete wearing that shirt is carrying national pride and Vietnamese cultural values to the world .

Costumes - the visual language of Vietnamese sports

In many countries, sporting attire has long been a cultural symbol: Japan incorporates traditional motifs into major sporting events, South Korea brings national colors to Olympic uniforms.

Vietnam is no exception to this trend. The systematic investment in costumes aims to shape the image of the Vietnam Sports Delegation, while also contributing to affirming the country's position through a visual, easily spread symbol.

In the RISE BEYOND collection, from colors, patterns to messages, everything is placed within the overall story: Vietnam is proud, resilient, aspirational and ready to break through.

Red continues to be the dominant color, symbolizing the sacred flag color, will and fighting spirit. White is used for the first time in the competition uniform, recalling glorious historical moments such as the 2008 AFF Cup championship or the 30th SEA Games gold medal in men's football. The blue accent symbolizes peace, hope and open skies.

This color scheme helps the outfit both adhere to its cultural roots and create a youthful, modern look suitable for the current generation of athletes.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dong Luc Joint Stock Company Le Van Thanh presented the competition shirt of the Vietnam Sports Delegation at SEA Games 33 to Head of Delegation Nguyen Hong Minh.

Director of the Department of Physical Training and Sports Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet highly appreciated this approach. He said that today's competition costumes, in addition to the purpose of identifying the team, also convey the story of a modern, integrated Vietnam that always maintains its cultural roots.

He emphasized: “In the context of sports being closely linked to the media and national image, every detail on the outfit has value. We want our regional friends to see a confident, creative and unique Vietnam.”

The Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration also acknowledged the many years of support from Dong Luc, the unit that has been associated with the Vietnam Sports Delegation for more than three decades. The uniforms produced by this unit are always highly appreciated for their practicality, durability and suitability for each sport.

Paying attention to every detail of the costumes is also the way the Vietnamese Sports Delegation shows respect for fans and determination to compete at the 33rd SEA Games, a Games that is expected to be highly competitive, but also opens up opportunities to affirm the strength of Vietnamese sports.

In the journey of international sports integration, the competition uniforms of the Vietnam Sports Delegation are increasingly seen as a special means of cultural communication.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dong Luc Joint Stock Company Le Van Thanh shared that accompanying the Vietnam Sports Delegation is an honor but also a responsibility of the unit. "We hope that every athlete when wearing the uniform will feel the cultural pride, the strong energy to overcome the limits, reach glory".

Mr. Thanh also said that Dong Luc has worked closely with the teams throughout the sampling and testing process to ensure the design is suitable for current training solutions when competition intensity increases. All products are designed and manufactured using domestic resources, based on the philosophy of "Vietnamese products with strong Vietnamese identity".

Accordingly, inspired by the night sky with fireworks, lights and shooting stars, symbols of explosion, RISE BEYOND by the Jagarbola brand wants to evoke the silent but steadfast journey of Vietnamese athletes. The five-pointed star motif is improved, becoming a visual highlight that is both strong and soft, reflecting the resilient spirit without losing the harmony of Asian culture.

The 33rd SEA Games took place during Thailand's rainy season, with hot, humid weather requiring specialized materials. Dong Luc said it used 4-way stretch, sweat-proof, breathable materials that were 15% lighter than the previous version. Each line of competition, movement, and ceremonial costumes was individually optimized to suit each specific movement.

Director of the Department of Physical Training and Sports Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet said that today's competition costumes, in addition to the purpose of identifying the team, also convey the story of a modern, integrated Vietnam that always maintains its cultural roots.

The SEA Games is not only a place to compete for medals but also a cultural festival where each country has the opportunity to promote its own identity. In the context of Vietnam promoting the building of a “national brand” through sports, the official uniform of the delegation plays a key role. It is the first image that appears in the international media, on the stage, in ceremonies and on the field.

Therefore, the RISE BEYOND collection is both functional and tells the story of a dynamic, creative and traditional Vietnam. From the strides of athletes in the parade to the moments of competition, the cultural lines on the costumes will accompany as a spiritual symbol.
