According to the first images, Honda's new electric motorcycle model has a modern nakedbike design, developed based on the previously impressive EV Fun Concept idea. The car's design is strong, neat and has a strong high-tech mark. The front of the car stands out with sharp LED headlights combined with angular daytime running lights, creating the feeling of a futuristic "street warrior".
The handlebars of Honda's new electric motorbike are designed to be wide and high, with rearview mirrors mounted on the handlebars, providing a comfortable yet sporty sitting position. All operating parameters are displayed on a large digital screen, making it easy for the driver to monitor while moving. At the rear, the single-sided swingarm is a valuable highlight - an equipment usually only appearing on high-end motorbikes, helping to fully show off the multi-spoke rim design and large rear tire. In particular, Honda confirmed that the model will support CCS2 fast charging, a popular charging standard in Europe, which significantly shortens charging time - one of the key factors in improving user experience.
Honda aims to bring the driving experience of this all-new electric motorcycle model equivalent to 500cc gasoline models. This electric vehicle is expected to have a capacity of up to 50 horsepower combined with high torque, promising to bring an exciting driving experience and strong acceleration - which is a typical strength of electric vehicles. Europe is expected to be the first market to receive Honda’s new electric motorcycle, before expanding to other countries. Retail prices and full specifications will be announced at the launch event on September 2. Meanwhile, in the Vietnamese market, Honda's electric vehicle portfolio is currently mainly aimed at the popular segment for students and urban users traveling short distances.
Two electric motorbike models are being distributed in Vietnam: ICON e: domestically assembled, starting price from 26.9 million VND. CUV e: imported from Thailand, currently only available for rental, with a fee of 1.5 million VND/month. Honda's preparations to launch a high-performance model could be a major step forward, marking an expansion into higher-end segments in the electric two-wheeler sector.
