Truck, school bus collide in South Korea

According to Reuters news agency, the buses were carrying 75 high school students and teachers on a field trip on June 16 when the accident occurred in Hongcheon County, Gangwon Province. The collision left three students seriously injured.

Meanwhile, according to the KoreaJoongang Daily, police and fire authorities said four buses, a coach and three trucks collided on a national highway heading to Seoul in Hongcheon County, Gangwon at around 1:26 p.m. (local time). The injured were taken to a nearby hospital.

The four buses were believed to be carrying students and teachers from a middle school in Seoul on a school trip. Police and fire authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
