Be careful with bad weather during the 2025 high school graduation exam

The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) warned of complicated weather conditions during the high school graduation exam, with thunderstorms in many areas. Parents need to monitor and support candidates.

On June 22, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology informed that Mr. Nguyen Thuong Hien, Director of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, has just signed Official Dispatch No. 517 to the Ministry of Education and Training, providing detailed information on the weather situation during the 2025 high school graduation exam nationwide.

In the document, the agency stated that the weather nationwide is in the rainy season, with erratic changes, alternating between hot sun, showers and thunderstorms, especially in the late afternoon and at night.

Faced with this situation, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has developed a detailed forecast plan for each region and each day of the 2025 exam to support the organization of the exam and the movement of candidates.

Specifically, from June 25 to 28, the Northern region will have intermittent sunshine, but in the late afternoon and evening there is a possibility of scattered showers and thunderstorms, concentrated in mountainous and midland areas. On June 28, the possibility of thunderstorms will be widespread.

During the first 3 days of the exam (June 25 to 27), Hanoi will have intermittent sunshine, with the possibility of localized thunderstorms in the afternoon, with a probability of rain ranging from 50 to 70%, and common temperatures ranging from 28 to 34 degrees Celsius.

Notably, Northwestern localities such as Hoa Binh , Lao Cai, and Yen Bai are likely to experience scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoons and evenings, with daytime temperatures reaching 33-34 degrees Celsius.

In the Central region, the weather forecast from June 25 to 28 is relatively stable. During the day, it will be sunny, some places will be hot, with common temperatures ranging from 33 to 35 degrees Celsius, some places above 35 degrees.

Particularly from Da Nang to Binh Thuan, in the evening of June 25 and 26, there may be scattered showers with thunderstorms. In Da Nang City, where many large exam sites are located, the temperature ranges from 28 to 34 degrees Celsius, with a possibility of thunderstorms in the afternoon with a probability of 50 to 80%.

For the Central Highlands and Southern regions, from June 25 to 28, the weather will be sunny during the day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night, with some places experiencing heavy rain.

In the Central Highlands, temperatures are lower, generally from 27 to 31 degrees Celsius.

The Department of Hydrometeorology will continue to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Training to provide weather forecasts at 4:30 p.m. every day, to provide updated weather information for the 2025 high school graduation exam nationwide.
