Ca Mau: Boat capsized while fishing, couple died

An unfortunate accident occurred in the coastal waters of Vien An Dong Commune, Ngoc Hien District, Ca Mau Province, killing a fisherman couple. Authorities and local residents found the bodies of both victims after many hours of searching.

On the afternoon of June 22, the People's Committee of Vien An Dong commune confirmed that rescue forces had found the body of Mr. MQH (54 years old, residing in Kinh Rang hamlet, Vien An Dong commune) - who went missing after the boat capsized at sea on June 20.

Earlier, on the morning of June 20, Mr. H. and his wife, Mrs. HKC (48 years old), along with some other people, went fishing near the shore. At around 1 p.m. the same day, heavy rain and strong winds overturned the boat, causing Mr. H. and his wife to fall into the sea and go missing.

The rescue team, in coordination with local residents, quickly organized a search. At 5 p.m. the same day, Ms. C's body was found. However, Mr. H. was still missing, forcing the rescue team to expand the search area day and night. It was not until noon on June 22 that Mr. H.'s body was found.

According to local authorities, Mr. H.'s family is in difficult circumstances. Authorities have sent representatives to assist the family with funeral arrangements and provide emotional support.
