Watch 8 plays in CAND Drama Week in Hanoi

During the CAND Drama Week in Hanoi, the capital's audience will have the opportunity to watch 8 stage productions about the CAND force performed by artists inside and outside the armed forces.

The CAND Drama Week was organized by the Department of Political Work, Ministry of Public Security, assigned to the CAND Drama Theater to coordinate with theaters of the Central, local and Ministry of National Defense. This is one of the cultural and artistic activities of the Ministry of Public Security according to the Project to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the CAND Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), 20 years of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

Artists of the CAND Drama Theater perform in the play "The Third Person".

The CAND Drama Week will take place from July 27 to August 3. The organizers said that the performances for the people and officers and soldiers on this occasion are all plays that have won high prizes at national professional theater festivals and performances. Among them, the opening performance of the CAND Drama Week on the evening of July 27 at the Ho Guom Theater is the play “The Third Person” by the CAND Drama Theater.

Directed by People's Artist Le Hung based on the script by author Minh Anh, the play "The Third Person" is one of the five plays awarded the Gold Medal at the 5th National Professional Stage Arts Festival on the image of the People's Public Security soldier in 2025, organized by the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism , and the Vietnam Stage Artists Association.

There are also 7 other plays performing for the public during this CAND Drama Week, including: “Doi mat” by Hanoi Drama Theater (July 28); “Doan dot” by Vietnam Youth Theater (July 29); “Gap lai nguoi da de” by CAND Drama Theater (July 30); “Ngoc chieu binh an” by Vietnam Drama Theater (July 31); “Vung troi binh an” by Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema (August 1); “Hoa the steel” by CAND Drama Theater (August 2); “Khong ngua” by Army Drama Theater (August 3). These works are performed by units at the Vietnam Music and Dance Theater, No. 8 Huynh Thuc Khang, Hanoi.
