A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports confirmed that they will handle violations related to TikToker Hua Quoc Anh.

According to Mr. Lam Ngo Hoang Anh, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City is coordinating with the Department of Information and Communications of the city on state management functions on the Internet environment. After having an official conclusion, the Department of Culture and Sports will coordinate and have appropriate opinions on related issues.

Due to TikToker Hua Quoc Anh's violations abroad, authorities need to verify from many sides.

Previously, a clip was circulated on social media showing a person holding a pink stick walking around Angkor Wat temple (Cambodia) but with many images of Thailand interspersed, causing outrage. Accordingly, the national flag, the kings of Thailand and the phrase "Hello Thailand" were inserted throughout the clip.

Immediately after the clip was posted on social media, many opinions said that TikToker Hua Quoc Anh's act of integrating and making the clip was an act of disrespecting the culture and national sovereignty of neighboring countries, causing division among the three countries of Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.

Regarding the above incident, on the evening of November 12, the Angkor Wat Complex Protection and Management Authority (Apsara) also issued a notice on its Fanpage and said that the clip affected Cambodia's culture and heritage.

On November 14, TikToker Hua Quoc Anh posted an apology clip on his personal Facebook. At the same time, he said that his actions were wrong and hoped to receive forgiveness from viewers.

Currently, TikToker Hua Quoc Anh's account has been locked, and the controversial clip has also been deleted.
