Hoa Loc sand mango price reduction

Việt NamViệt Nam15/03/2024

(HG) - In recent days, walking along the streets or at the markets, mangoes are sold quite a lot. According to gardeners, farmers are currently selling Hoa Loc mangoes in bulk to traders at 20,000 VND/kg, while ripe mangoes are sold at retail prices of 30,000-35,000 VND/kg. The price of Hoa Loc mangoes has decreased by half compared to about a month ago. The main reason is that it is the mango harvest season, so supply has increased sharply.

Increased supply leads to lower mango prices.

According to statistics from the Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection of Hau Giang , the whole province currently has more than 2,900 hectares of mango, mainly concentrated in Chau Thanh and Chau Thanh A districts. The main mango varieties grown are Taiwanese mango, Hoa Loc mango, Chu mango... The estimated yield is about 13 tons/ha.
