Touching scene of disabled candidate being carried into 10th grade exam room in Nghe An

On the morning of June 5, candidates in Nghe An province entered the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year.

At the exam site of Dang Thuc Hua High School (Thanh Chuong District, Nghe An), a special candidate was carried into the exam room by a team of young volunteers, causing great emotion. That was Nguyen Thi Hien (student of Vo Liet Secondary School). She suffered from brittle bone disease, causing both legs to atrophy and she could not walk.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang - Secretary of the Youth Union of Vo Liet commune was the one who carried Hien into the exam room.

Mr. Hoang said that Hien was born into a poor family in Yen Hoa hamlet (Vo Liet commune), and was tormented by a terrible disease, but she has always been an example of overcoming difficulties that many people admire. Hien has been an excellent student for many years, and she has tried her best to be able to take the 10th grade exam this year.

"Given Hien's situation, the Youth Union supported and made a plan to get her to the exam site on time. I feel very happy because I can contribute a small effort to encourage the candidates during the stressful exam period ," Mr. Hoang told VTC News .

Besides Nguyen Thi Hien, candidates with difficult circumstances in the area were also supported by the youth volunteers with free meals, motorbike taxis and safe places to rest during this year's exam.
