Hai Ha Industrial Park (Hai Ha District) is one of the largest textile and garment industrial parks in the country up to now. Textile and garment products here are supplied to many famous fashion brands in the world, however, businesses in Hai Ha Industrial Park are facing many challenges when these brands have strict requirements related to green certificates (IREC) to both produce and protect the environment.

Hai Ha Industrial Park is planned on an area of 3,370 hectares, divided into many investment phases. Currently, phase 1 of the Industrial Park has been invested in infrastructure by Texhong Group and attracted 19 textile and garment projects to implement.
According to statistics, textile projects in Hai Ha Industrial Park annually supply the market with many different textile products and millions of square meters . Fabrics for processing famous brands in the world , such as: LEVI'S, H&M, Nike, Gap, Lee, Uniqlo... Processing production for "big guys" in the textile industry is contributing to a large source of budget revenue and solving jobs for the locality.
However, enterprises in Hai Ha Industrial Park are also facing many challenges when goods exported to the EU and US markets require emission certificates to prove that they meet the carbon adjustment mechanism (CBAM) standards and are taxed based on the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions in the production process. Famous fashion brands are also increasingly demanding green certificates (IREC) to both produce and protect the environment. Therefore, the use of green energy in the production process of enterprises in Hai Ha Industrial Park is a mandatory requirement to increase the competitiveness of export enterprises. And the use of green energy from rooftop solar power systems is an optimal choice, a feasible solution for enterprises here.

Currently, enterprises in Hai Ha Industrial Park are creating millions of square meters. Roofing is capable of installing large solar panels from factories and enterprises. According to research, in Vietnam, the solar energy absorption rate is about 4.58 kWh/ m2 /day and so, the roofs at Hai Ha Industrial Park, if installed with solar panels, will generate millions of kWh of electricity every day, ensuring a part of the production and business of the factories, contributing to reducing electricity costs and minimizing environmental pollution.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bui, General Director of External Affairs of Texhong Group, said: The increasingly strict requirements of customers, especially customers from the EU for the production of textile products, have created a lot of pressure for the Group's textile production units. The VIII Power Plan clearly states that the rooftop solar power source can be developed with unlimited capacity, so it is recommended that the province allow enterprises in the industrial park to install rooftop solar power as an auxiliary item of the project for self-use, which helps enterprises using rooftop solar power reduce the cost of electricity consumed from the grid, reduce emissions and protect the environment.
Not only enterprises in Hai Ha Industrial Park, but also many industrial parks in the country in general are waiting for the Government to soon issue a decree on developing self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar power so that they can soon deploy and install it, solving the difficulties and urgent requirements of the international market. If deployed, rooftop solar power will play an important role in ensuring national energy security. This is also an urgent task, an important solution to mobilize social resources, contributing to realizing Vietnam's commitment to achieving "zero" net emissions by 2050.
