On April 12, the Ministry of Information and Communications held a conference to implement decisions on personnel work.

Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Deputy Director of the Press Department, was transferred and appointed to the position of Editor-in-Chief of Information and Communication Magazine.

Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung also decided to temporarily transfer and appoint Mr. Le Nam Trung, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Finance, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology Industry (IT) and Communications.

Mr. Ngo Thanh Hien, Head of the Policy and Professional Affairs Department, Central Post Office, was transferred and appointed for a limited period to the position of Deputy Director of the Grassroots Information Department.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, the new Editor-in-Chief of Information and Communication Magazine, said that in more than 16 years working at the Press Department, he has held many different positions, with the main tasks being policy development, information content management, inspection, and handling of violations in the press field.

Moving to a new field of work, with responsibility at work, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu will work his best to work with the leaders, staff and employees to promote the Information and Communication Magazine to develop in the right direction set by the leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

As for the new Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry, Le Nam Trung shared that the Information Technology and Communications Industry is a new field for him.

"Therefore, this is both an honor and a challenge that helps me have more motivation to complete my tasks in the coming time," said Mr. Trung.

Mr. Ngo Thanh Hien, Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Information, said that he will try his best, be determined, and have a scientific approach to complete the assigned tasks.

"For myself, I will try to complete the action program set out in the next 5 years," Mr. Hien said and hopes to receive coordination, sharing, companionship, and help from the departments, offices, and units of the Ministry.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong hoped that Editor-in-Chief of Information and Communications Magazine Nguyen Van Hieu, Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry Le Nam Trung, and Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Information Ngo Thanh Hien would coordinate well with leaders, cadres, civil servants, and employees of their units to promote the spirit of solidarity and strive to complete assigned tasks.

On behalf of the Ministry's leaders, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam sent his congratulations to the three officials who received the appointment decisions.

"This is a memorable milestone in each comrade's personal career, as well as the common work of the Ministry. Each comrade has grown up in a different environment but will bring a new breeze, experience, and enthusiasm to the new unit," said Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Lam.

"In the coming time, in personnel work, we will certainly follow the direction and guidelines of the Minister and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Information and Communications," Mr. Lam expressed his expectations and said that recently, the Ministry of Information and Communications has added staff to many localities to carry out the difficult tasks of the industry, while improving the efficiency of the information and communications industry.
