10 targets and 6 action programs in the new term of the Vietnam Fatherland Front

Constantly strengthening the great national unity bloc

With a sense of responsibility, democracy and solidarity, the Congress completed all the contents of the program. The Congress unanimously resolved: Approving the Report of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th term, 2019 - 2024, to be submitted to the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 2024 - 2029 term.

The Congress also agreed with the assessment of the implementation results of the Resolution of the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2019 - 2024. Accordingly, over the past 5 years, in the context of the world and regional situation having many rapid, complicated and unpredictable developments; the domestic situation still has many difficulties and challenges, especially the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, but under the wise leadership of the Party; the increasingly close and effective coordination of the Government, the National Assembly Standing Committee, all levels and sectors; the proactiveness, creativity and positivity of member organizations; the support of the business community and all classes of people, the work of the Front continued to achieve important and comprehensive results, completing the goals and tasks set out by the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the tasks arising in practice.

Many activities have achieved outstanding results, have a high spread, and have been recognized and highly appreciated by all levels, sectors, many classes of people and the business community. The great national unity bloc has been maintained, the flesh-and-blood relationship and trust of the people with the Party and the State have been constantly consolidated and strengthened. The core political role and responsibility of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, member organizations, with the core being the alliance of the working class - farmers - intellectuals, have made great efforts to mobilize, gather, and rally a large number of classes of people to well carry out the mission of building the great national unity bloc, taking the goals of peace , independence, democracy, wealth, prosperity, civilization, and happiness as common points, jointly taking care of the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations have made many strong efforts to innovate the content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots and residential areas, thereby continuing to affirm their role as the political base of the people's government, an important bridge between the Party and the government and the people. Many patriotic emulation campaigns and movements have become increasingly practical, widely deployed, continuing to play a core role, being of a national, comprehensive nature, with high influence. The above results continue to be vivid evidence of the practicality and effectiveness of the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, contributing to constantly strengthening and consolidating the great national unity bloc, arousing and promoting the role of the people as the subject in social life, the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members, association members and the people.

In addition to the achieved results, the concretization and organization of the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc in a number of areas have not achieved high results. The content and methods of mobilizing, gathering, building and consolidating the great national unity bloc have sometimes failed to meet the requirements; have not kept up with the rapid changes and new requirements of society...

Continue to strengthen personnel when qualified

The Congress agreed on the direction and objectives, set out 10 specific targets and 6 action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term. Accordingly, the 6 action programs include: Strengthening propaganda, mobilization, gathering people of all walks of life, strengthening social consensus, promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc. Improving the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, implementing democracy, participating in Party and State building. Encouraging people of all walks of life to compete, be creative, and effectively carry out campaigns and emulation movements. Promoting the role of mastery and self-management of the people, building a united, prosperous and happy residential area. Improving the effectiveness of people's foreign affairs and work with overseas Vietnamese. Continuing to innovate the organizational structure, content and methods of operation; improving the capacity of the Front's staff at all levels.

Along with the approval of the Report reviewing the activities of the Central Committee, the Presidium and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX, 2019-2024, the Congress discussed and unanimously approved the amended and supplemented Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The Congress approved the number of members: 405 members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 10th term, 2024 - 2029, the Presidium includes 72 members, the Standing Committee includes 6 members; and 8 non-professional Vice Chairmen.

At the Congress, 397 members were elected to join the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. At the first conference of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 67 members were elected to join the Presidium, 4 members were elected to join the Standing Committee, and 7 members were elected to join the non-professional Vice Presidents.

The Congress assigned the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the Presidium of the 10th tenure to continue to complete the personnel when conditions are met. Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee of the 9th tenure, term 2019 - 2024, continued to be highly trusted and was elected by consultation to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee of the 10th tenure, term 2024 - 2029.

The Congress assigned the Central Committee, the Presidium and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, 10th tenure, 2024-2029 term, to absorb the direction of General Secretary and President To Lam, the opinions of the representatives of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the opinions of the Government representatives, and the opinions of the delegates at the Congress to complete and promulgate the Congress documents and organize their implementation.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, socio-political organizations, and member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front are responsible for propagating, thoroughly understanding, and organizing the successful implementation of the directions, goals, and Action Program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term approved by the Congress.

With the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development", the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029, calls on all our compatriots at home and overseas Vietnamese to strongly promote the tradition and strength of great national unity, uphold the will of self-reliance, self-reliance, creativity, and jointly care for the country and the people; strive to successfully implement the 10-year Socio-Economic Development Strategy (2021 - 2030), complete the 100-year strategic goals under the leadership of the Party, the 100-year founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, creating a solid foundation to enter a new era of development for a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, prosperous, civilized, happy Vietnam, firmly advancing towards socialism.
