With the two-way round-robin format (home - away) to calculate points and rank, LPBank V-League 2025/26 will have a total of 26 rounds with 182 matches.

The highlight of the 2025-26 V-League is the addition of more derby matches. This is an opportunity to increase regional identity, enhance emotions and attract fans. In addition, some changes in the regulations of the tournament organizers will also make the upcoming season more integrated and competitive.
This year's tournament will have 2 direct relegation slots (instead of 1 direct slot and 1 play-off slot as usual). In addition, the regulations on foreign player slots have also been adjusted: clubs participating in continental tournaments organized by AFC will be allowed to register a maximum of 7 players; the remaining clubs can register a maximum of 4 players (a maximum of 3 foreign players can play on the field at any time of the match).
