Latest information on the oil tanker fire in Con Dao waters

Information from Fisheries Control Squadron No. 2 said that the unit's ship KN 210 is coordinating with forces at sea to put out a fire on an oil tanker in the waters of Con Dao.

Accordingly, at 2:15 p.m. on August 8, while patrolling and controlling fishing grounds in the southern sea, Ship KN 210, Fisheries Control Squadron No. 2 received urgent information about the oil tanker GT UNITY on fire, about 104 nautical miles south-southeast of Con Dao.

At 5:15 p.m. the same day, Ship KN 210 approached the area where the fire broke out. The ship quickly assessed the situation and deployed rescue plans. The forces on board organized water hoses to extinguish the fire, prevent the fire from spreading, initially control the fire, at the same time ensure the safety of the vehicle and support the injured crew members.

The incident is currently being monitored and handled by the authorities according to regulations. Ship KN 210 continues to coordinate on-site response, ready to respond to any arising situations, contributing to ensuring maritime safety.
