Nghia's achievement is impressive when Can Tho City only has 4 exams with a score of 10 in math and 6 exams with a perfect score in chemistry. Nghia also assessed that this year's exam had a high level of differentiation, and he himself was "nervous" with 2 multiple choice math questions because he was not confident in his own answers.
Nghia learned about his graduation exam results while he was in Thanh Hoa visiting his grandparents. His achievement as valedictorian made the trip even more exciting. Everyone gave Nghia many compliments and best wishes on his upcoming journey. In particular, his younger brother, who is about to enter 11th grade, admired him and was determined to be like Nghia to bring pride to the family.
2 secrets to become valedictorian of Can Tho
Talking about his achievements, Nghia said that he entered the 2025 high school graduation exam with a comfortable and confident mindset. To shake off the pressure and anxiety, Nghia had prepared well during the review process, especially the two secrets to train speed and thinking.
Nghia's dream is to become a general practitioner.

Accordingly, with self-made exercises, the Can Tho boy will limit looking at the answers to challenge himself. Nghia said: "When doing practice tests, I am very strict with myself in terms of time. If I solve the problem but exceed the allowed time frame, it is still a virtual result. I am not satisfied with this, because it is not progress. Being in control of time will help me focus more, not be distracted, and not be confused when solving the questions."
According to Nghia, the exam does not contain new knowledge, it is not in the curriculum, so the opportunity is divided equally for all candidates. Getting high or low scores depends on the allocation of time reasonably, enough to solve all the questions from easy to difficult. But to solve the exam effectively, first of all, you must pay attention to studying the theory in class to practice quick thinking.
"When learning basic theory, I will try to understand its essence, not memorize it. Only when I understand its essence can I apply it quickly, visualize in my head the solution quickly and accurately," Nghia shared.
Becoming valedictorian, Nghia has many options in choosing a learning environment. But his biggest dream is to become a general practitioner, because Nghia's father also works in the medical field. Therefore, Nghia intends to study at a medical university in Ho Chi Minh City. Nghia's mother is a university lecturer, and also strongly supports him in pursuing this field to continue the family tradition.
Ms. Pham Thi Thuy, homeroom teacher of class 12A1B, Ly Tu Trong High School for the Gifted, shared: "Nghia is very diligent in doing homework. He and some of his classmates often compete to see who finishes their homework first. When he gets home, if he encounters a difficult problem, he immediately texts the teacher to ask for help. With such a learning spirit, Nghia becoming valedictorian is well-deserved and not too surprising to me."
