2 Hoang Anh Gia Lai players suspended for match against Hanoi Police

According to the announcement of the organizing committee of Vietnam Professional Football Tournaments (VPF), Vo Dinh Lam and Marciel Silva are two of the players suspended in round 18 of V-League.

Two players from Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club will not be able to participate in the match against Cong An Ha Noi on the evening of April 12 at Hang Day Stadium due to receiving enough penalty cards.

Dinh Lam accumulated his third yellow card in the match Hoang Anh Gia Lai won Binh Duong 4-0 in round 17 on April 6. Meanwhile, also in this match, Marciel Silva received a red card (2 yellow cards) for celebrating too long. This is an unfortunate case for Hoang Anh Gia Lai because the Brazilian foreign player is a mainstay in the squad, having scored 4 goals and made 5 assists in 16 matches since the beginning of the season.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai vs Cong An Ha Noi will be the highlight match of round 18 of V-League. The police team (currently ranked 5th) still has hope of competing for a high ranking. Meanwhile, the representative of the mountain town is showing that they are always an obstacle for the big guys and always have the ability to cause surprises since the beginning of the season.

In addition to the two cases of Hoang Anh Gia Lai, round 18 of the V-League also witnessed many other players being suspended, notably Nguyen Van Hanh, a key player of Ha Tinh, or captain Dang Anh Tuan of Da Nang Club.

Round 18 of V-League 2024-2025 will take place from April 11 to 13. The opening match of the round will take place tomorrow, April 11, at Ha Tinh Stadium between Ha Tinh and The Cong - Viettel, at 6:00 p.m.
