Officiating the National Cup final match between SLNA and Hanoi Police (CAHN) at Vinh Stadium (6 p.m.) on June 29, are the same two Malaysian referees who were on duty in the play-off match between Da Nang and Binh Phuoc.

That is referee Razlan Joffri Bin Ali. This season, referee Bin Ali officiated two matches between Hanoi and Dong A Thanh Hoa (round 17) and SLNA and Quang Nam (round 19). In round 21, referee Bin Ali became a VAR referee. He was the main referee for the match between SHB Da Nang and SLNA (round 26).
In the National Cup final, he will be the VAR referee. The main referee for the final match will be referee Muhammad Usaid Bin Jamal. This FIFA referee born in 1995 was the main referee for the match between CAHN and HAGL in round 25 of the 2023-2024 season and the National Cup final (Dong A Thanh Hoa vs. Hanoi FC last season). He also just served as the VAR referee for the play-off match between Da Nang and Binh Phuoc .
Mr. Polking has never won a title at club level.
During his career as a coach, Coach Mano Polking has led many clubs in Thailand and Vietnam. In Thailand, Mr. Polking has coached Army United (2013), Suphaburi (2014), Bangkok United (2014 – 2020). In Vietnam, Mr. Polking has led Ho Chi Minh City Club (2020 – 2021) and CAHN Club, from 2024 to present.

It is worth noting that coach Mano Polking has never won any official titles with the clubs he has led. The two AFF Cup titles in 2020 and 2022 are the rare titles that the German-Brazilian coach has won so far in his coaching career. However, those are titles at the national team level. Coach Mano Polking still needs to win his first title in his career at the club level.
For the second time in the 2024-2025 season, this 49-year-old coach has the opportunity to win the championship trophy. The first time was in the final of the Southeast Asian Cup C1 not long ago. At that time, Coach Mano Polking's CAHN Club was unlucky to lose to Buriram United (Thailand) after a penalty shootout.
The national cup is very important, because...
Mr. Mano Polking is a talented coach. Most of the teams he led have an attractive attacking style. He helped the Thai team regain its golden age with two consecutive AFF Cup championships in 2020 and 2022 as mentioned above. That was the period when Thai football seemed to have been surpassed by Vietnamese football. Under coach Mano Polking, a series of great talents of Thai football such as Chanathip Songkrasin, Teerasil Dangda, Theerathon Bunmanthan regained their peak form.

After coach Mano Polking left the Thai national team, the team once again lost to the Vietnamese team in the AFF Cup, many top stars of Thai football fell into a state of decline.
With CAHN Club, since the appearance of coach Mano Polking, this team has stopped the crisis in the coaching position (they have changed 4 coaches in a row before, including Paulo Foiani, Flavio Cruz, Gong Oh-kyun and Tran Tien Dai). At the same time, CAHN is one of the teams with the most beautiful attacking style of play in the V-League today. This team has the ability to control the ball among the best in domestic football.
It would be a mistake for coach Mano Polking if he ended this season empty-handed. The Brazilian-German coach's CAHN team lost the Southeast Asian Cup C1 championship too bitterly. Then, they missed the V-League championship due to unfortunate stumbles in some rounds around the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, a time when many of their players were not in the best condition.
Now, they have reached the final of the National Cup, against SLNA on June 29. Coach Mano Polking is waiting for a happy ending for himself in this tournament. The 2024-2025 National Cup will give Mr. Polking confidence and help him restart the campaign to hunt for international titles for CAHN Club next season!
