2 Air Force helicopters flew to provide relief to the people of Lang Son

On the morning of October 8, after receiving orders from the Head of the Ministry of National Defense, the Party Committee and Command of the Air Defense - Air Force (PK-KQ) directed Division 371 to use helicopters of Regiment 916 to mobilize and help people in Van Nham and Yen Binh communes (Lang Son province) isolated by floods, the consequences of storm No. 11 (Matmo).

Major General Vu Hong Son, Commander of the Air Defense - Air Force, directed the relief flight.

Mi-171 helicopter number 03 took off at 7:30 a.m., Mi-17 number 7844 took off at 8:20 a.m. from Hoa Lac Airport to Gia Lam Airport ( Hanoi ) to load relief goods.

Each plane loaded 2 tons of necessities: instant noodles, drinking water, dry food, life jackets, milk...

Regiment 916 (Division 371, Air Defense - Air Force) mobilized to provide relief and assistance to people in Van Nham and Yen Binh communes ( Lang Son province) isolated by floods, a consequence of storm No. 11.

At exactly 9:50 a.m., helicopter number 03 and 10:15 a.m., helicopter number 7844 took off, transporting relief goods to the isolated and separated people in Van Nham and Yen Binh communes (Lang Son province).
