The tournament took place from June 9 to 17 with the participation of more than 330 athletes from 21 men's and women's basketball teams nationwide. Of which, the women's event had 4 participating teams: Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho and District 5 Yourlife (Ho Chi Minh City).
After the opening ceremony, the matches took place excitingly and attractively under the cheers of a large audience.
The men's content has 17 participating teams including: District 1 (HCMC), Ha Noi Pitbulls, Eballs HCMC, ItalySport Nghe An, Thang Long Warriors xASA, Asport Ha Tinh, HNBA Hanoi, SXKT Hau Giang, Hanoi, Hanoi youth, Ngoi Sao Vinh Phuc, Thua Thien - Hue, HCMC, PKKQ, BDC Da Nang , Danaball Da Nang and Jumpshots Da Nang. Accordingly, the Organizing Committee draws lots to divide the competition groups, while the women's tournament plays a round robin to select the champion team.
This is a tournament within the national sports competition system held annually, aiming to create conditions for athletes to exchange and compete; evaluate the development of the movement in provinces, cities, and units across the country. Through the tournament, the Organizing Committee selects outstanding athletes to supplement the national youth basketball team, participating in international tournaments. In order to create conditions for basketball to develop, in recent years, the city has hosted major tournaments, attracting the participation of many strong teams across the country.
Currently, the basketball movement in Da Nang city is considered to be developing strongly, the number of people learning and playing basketball is increasing rapidly, attracting the attention of many young people. Basketball courts in units and localities are also built, renovated and put into effective operation.
