In the third time hosting the continent's top tournament at the national team level, host country Qatar is ready to bring surprises to fans.

The opening ceremony of the 2023 Asian Cup is called "The Lost Chapter of Kelileh and Demneh". Kelileh and Demneh are the names of a famous Arabic book about imaginary myths of heroes. At the opening ceremony, Kelileh and Demneh will appear as narrators and main characters.

Asian Cup 2023 Opening Ceremony: Qatar vs Lebanon | 10:30 p.m. January 12 on VTV5, VTVgo and VTV Times.

During their journey, Kelileh and Demneh will meet characters representing 24 countries whose teams are participating in the Asian Cup. The story carries messages about humanity, ethical living among people and encourages people to live according to moral standards.

Other performances at the opening ceremony were also inspired by famous literary works in Asia. The Executive Director of Marketing and Communications of the Asian Cup Qatar 2023 promised that the opening ceremony of the Asian Cup would be no less attractive than the opening ceremony of the World Cup 2022.

Immediately after the opening ceremony will be the first match between host team Qatar and Lebanon .
