The Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City has just sent a report to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on reviewing and handling projects with problems and backlogs. In the document, the Department of Construction said that Ho Chi Minh City has 838 projects, constructions, and land lots with backlogs. Of these, the Department of Construction is assigned to monitor 29 projects in different cases.
As a result, the Department of Construction reviewed and resolved 25 projects and received comments from Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong on removing them from the list of projects that need to be reviewed and resolved.
The Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City is continuing to monitor and urge the assigned departments and agencies to promptly implement the remaining 4 projects in accordance with the direction of the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Projects in this group include Van Gia Phuc apartment building (Tan Son Nhi ward) invested by Nakyco Joint Stock Company. Dong Duong commercial service center apartment building (Dien Hong ward) invested by Dong Duong Urban Company. Apartment building No. 157/R8 (new number 339/34A) To Hien Thanh (Hoa Hung ward) invested by Saigon Real Estate Corporation Limited. Southern River Road staff housing area (Tan Hung ward) invested by Southern River Road Joint Stock Company.
The Department of Construction said that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has established and completed a special working group to review and remove difficulties and obstacles for constructions, projects and land plots in the area. The special working group is headed by Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Department of Finance is the standing body of the working group, and the Department of Construction is a member.
The Department of Construction said it will coordinate with the Department of Finance to report to the Working Group to review and resolve problems and give opinions on related contents within its functions and tasks.
After the reorganization, Ho Chi Minh City has 838 projects, works, and land plots remaining, including 60 projects under the central authority and 778 projects under the city authority. These projects include both public and private investment projects.
The Department of Construction said that along with the review process, Ho Chi Minh City is actively removing difficulties for businesses. At the same time, the Government Inspectorate and Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate are also deploying inspection teams to clarify the causes, creating a basis for thoroughly handling the backlog in the coming time.
