Da Nang approves inland waterway tourism project, total capital of nearly 10,000 billion VND

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just approved the investment policy for the project to build and operate an inland waterway tourism business, with a total capital of more than VND9,881 billion, according to Resolution 136 of the National Assembly on a special mechanism for Da Nang .

The project will build and renovate 20 wharves along the Han, Co Co, Vinh Dien, and Cam Le rivers, combining parks, ancillary works, and art shows to develop tourism.

Phase 1 (2025–2030) will invest in 7 wharves along the Han River; Phase 2 (2028–2031) will deploy 9 more wharves on the remaining river routes. The project aims to develop green tourism, purchase environmentally friendly boats, and at the same time contribute to reducing pressure on road traffic and diversifying passenger transport.

Proposal to assign Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee to upgrade CT.07 expressway with investment capital of 16,789 billion VND

Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee proposed to implement the project to complete the CT.07 expressway section Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Cho Moi under the PPP method, with a total capital of about 16,789 billion VND. The project is 100.69 km long, divided into 2 sections: Hanoi - Thai Nguyen (61.2 km, 6 lanes) and Thai Nguyen - Cho Moi (39.49 km, 4 lanes), designed speed of 100 km/h.

Thai Nguyen wishes to be assigned as the competent authority to proactively implement, in the context that most of the route length and site clearance volume are within the province.

Currently, Phuong Thanh Transport Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company is the only investor proposing to implement, with the goal of completing the entire route by 2029. The project aims to synchronize the 227 km CT.07 arterial highway according to the plan until 2030, connecting Hanoi with the northern provinces.

Quang Ngai approves urban planning of nearly 3,800 hectares

Quang Ngai Provincial People's Council has approved the 1/2000 scale zoning plan for Chau O urban center and surrounding areas with a total area of about 3,795 hectares. The planning area includes Chau O town (now Binh Son commune), Binh Duong commune and part of neighboring communes, oriented to develop into an urban - service center associated with Binh Hoa - Binh Phuoc and Binh Thanh industrial parks.

This will be the administrative - political, medical, cultural - sports, commercial - service and human resource training center for Binh Son urban area and Dung Quat Economic Zone. This planning is one of 11 sub-zone projects of Dung Quat Economic Zone according to the development orientation until 2045, contributing significantly to attracting investment and promoting the socio-economic development of Quang Ngai.

Speeding up investment progress in building Vietnam's coastal road system

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested that provinces and cities implementing coastal road projects with plans to complete in 2025 should speed up progress to put them into operation soon. For projects to be completed after 2025 or being prepared for investment, especially ODA projects, localities must urgently implement them to complete them in the 2026-2030 period.

The coastal road is about 2,838 km long, combining national highways and local roads. Currently, 1,397 km have been put into operation and 633 km are under construction. The Ministry of Construction is assigned to monitor, urge and report on any problems arising during the implementation process.

Ho Chi Minh City plans to invest 7 billion USD to develop an international financial center.

Ho Chi Minh City plans to invest about VND172,000 billion (US$7 billion) to develop an international financial center on an area of nearly 800 hectares, of which the first phase needs VND16,000 billion to complete the infrastructure of the core area of Thu Thiem. The goal is to build a comprehensive financial ecosystem, attracting long-term investment capital and multinational financial groups.

Despite its many advantages, Ho Chi Minh City still lacks international standard infrastructure, so the city prioritizes investment in underground transport, upgrading technical infrastructure, and deploying 5G and IoT networks. The 9.2-hectare core area in Thu Thiem will house the headquarters of the financial management agency; about VND2,000 billion is needed to build functional buildings. The city also promotes training and attracting international financial human resources to meet the requirements of a regional financial center.

Hai Phong attracts over 15.6 billion USD in investment capital – a strategic destination of the new era

At the 2025 Investment Promotion Conference, Hai Phong City granted certificates to 32 investment projects and 7 memorandums of understanding with a total registered capital of over 15.6 billion USD, focusing on the fields of industrial park infrastructure, seaports - logistics, high technology and urban development. The conference gathered more than 1,000 domestic and international delegates, within the framework of ABAC Conference Week 3.

President Luong Cuong and leaders of ministries and sectors highly appreciated the city's vision, reform efforts and cooperation potential. The Ministry of Finance committed to coordinating the implementation of specific policies, piloting free trade zones and promoting regional connectivity.

Raising the total investment capital of Kim Long Motor Hue project to more than 25,000 billion VND

Hue City People's Committee said that the Kim Long Motor Hue Production and Assembly Complex Project in Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone has just been adjusted to increase capital by more than VND 21,178 billion, bringing the total investment capital to VND 25,655 billion.

The project is invested by Kim Long Motor Hue Joint Stock Company, divided into 2 phases, with phase 1 (30ha) now basically completed and put into operation. The phase 1 complex includes an automobile assembly plant, a mechanical factory, engine manufacturing, transmission systems and auto parts.

At the same time, Kim Long Motor Hue is proposing to invest in an additional social housing project at location 8 - Chan May Urban Area, with a total capital of more than 578 billion VND, with a scale of nearly 900 apartments. This is a preparation step for the next development phase in the Chan May - Lang Co area.

Investing 4,927.9 billion VND to build the road route from Thai Binh City to Hung Ha to Hung Yen

The People's Committee of Hung Yen province has approved the investment project to build a road from Thai Binh city through Hung Ha connecting with Hung Yen, with a total length of 24.8 km, level III delta scale, and a total investment of more than 4,927.9 billion VND.

The route passes through many communes and wards in Thai Binh and Hung Yen, starting at the intersection of TBS Song Tra Industrial Park with National Highway 10, and ending at the beginning of the Luoc River overpass. The project consists of 8 bridges and 9 intersections, designed synchronously, ensuring technical operation, suitable for the terrain and regional planning.

The project is divided into two phases, implemented from 2025–2028, using central and local budgets. Once completed, the route will contribute to connecting Thai Binh with Hung Yen, Hanoi and neighboring provinces via Ring Road 5, reducing the load on National Highway 10 and National Highway 39 and promoting regional socio-economic development.

Quang Ngai prepares dozens of resettlement areas to serve high-speed railway

Quang Ngai province is reviewing and planning to build dozens of resettlement areas and reburial areas to serve the site clearance work for the North-South high-speed railway passing through the area.

On the basis of more than 561 hectares of project land (mostly agricultural land), the province has inspected 23 resettlement areas and 17 burial areas that used to serve the expressways, currently there are about 1,505 plots of land and 2,759 graves that can be arranged immediately.

At the same time, localities continue to conduct additional surveys and coordinate with the Railway Project Management Board to determine the specific locations and scale of new resettlement areas. The compensation, site clearance and resettlement sub-project is invested by the Quang Ngai Transport Project Management Board. The provincial Department of Construction affirmed that it will prioritize the selection of resettlement locations that are suitable for the planning and ensure living conditions for affected people.

4 investors propose to expand Hanoi - Bac Giang road to 8 lanes

A consortium of four investors who have implemented the BOT project to upgrade National Highway 1 from Hanoi to Bac Giang has just proposed to the Ministry of Construction to allow the expansion of this route to 8 lanes under the PPP method. The 46 km long Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway, currently with 4 lanes, is the gateway connecting the capital with China.

Since 2022, the traffic volume through the toll station has exceeded the maximum load, averaging more than 53,000 vehicles/day and night, causing the route to be frequently overloaded, congested, potentially causing accidents and increasing transportation costs. The route expansion is in line with the Road Network Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, in which the Hanoi - Bac Giang section is planned to have 8 lanes.

Investors believe that it is necessary to upgrade soon to ensure effective exploitation and synchronous connection with the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang expressway, expected to operate in 2026.

Assigning focal point for PPP investment research to complete Provincial Road 827E, capital of 7,600 billion VND

Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee has agreed in principle to allow Deo Ca Group to represent the investor group to research and propose the investment project for the remaining section of DT.827E route under the PPP method. The project is 19.5 km long, with a total capital of about 7,600 billion VND, divided into two sections, connecting with key routes and river bridges in the area. Deo Ca will pay all costs for survey, proposal and bear the risk if not approved.

DT.827E (oriented as National Highway 50B) is an important traffic route from Ho Chi Minh City through Long An to Tien Giang, about 55 km long, included in the national and Mekong Delta road planning for the period 2021-2030. Investing in the remaining section is a key factor to promote the effectiveness of the entire route. At the same time, the Deo Ca consortium is also proposing to expand the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway (96 km long, capital of nearly 39,800 billion VND), continuing to affirm its capacity to implement strategic traffic projects in the South.

Investor proposes 317 million USD wind power project cluster in Quang Tri

Viettel Construction Joint Stock Corporation (VCC) has just proposed to the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to allow investment in the Le Thuy 4 wind power project cluster in the area between Hac Hai lagoon and Kien Giang riverbank. The project has a total capacity of 198 MW (including 4 factories, each factory has 49.5 MW), total investment capital of 317 million USD, replacing the old 30 MW model which is no longer effective.

The project is expected to be implemented from 2026–2028, on an area of about 46 hectares of low-lying, flooded land with little potential for cultivation, in compliance with planning and environmental protection. When put into operation, the project cluster can generate about 480 million kWh/year, providing electricity to 160,000 households, contributing to energy security, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing budget revenue, creating local jobs and promoting regional connectivity, developing agriculture - ecotourism. Viettel also plans to continue investing in solar power projects combined with storage (BESS), with a total expected capacity of 300–500 MW in this area.

Hai Anh Wind Power Plant, Quang Tri will be inaugurated on August 19, 2025

Hai Anh Wind Power Plant invested by Hai Anh - Quang Tri Wind Power Joint Stock Company will be inaugurated on August 19, 2025, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, and officially put into commercial operation from August 20, 2025. The project has a capacity of 40 MW, a total investment of about 1,500 billion VND, built in Huong Phung and Lao Bao communes (Quang Tri), with 8 wind turbine towers, a 22 kV underground power connection system, a 110 kV transformer station and synchronous technical infrastructure.

Despite many difficulties due to the pandemic, weather and prolonged site clearance, the project has so far completed all main items and is in the trial run phase, preparing COD documents. Standing Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam highly appreciated the efforts of the investor, and at the same time requested to continue completing environmental procedures, ensuring safety and organizing an effective inauguration ceremony, contributing to spreading the meaning of clean energy projects to the locality.

Hanoi speeds up progress, ready to start metro lines in 2025

The Hanoi People's Committee has directed to urgently complete procedures to start construction of two metro lines in 2025, including line 2 (Nam Thang Long - Tran Hung Dao) on October 10 and line 5 (Van Cao - Hoa Lac) on December 19. Departments, branches and localities are required to coordinate closely and promptly resolve difficulties to ensure progress. On the afternoon of July 17, the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board coordinated with the People's Committee of Quoc Oai commune to collect public opinions on the metro line 5 plan.

This line is about 41.9 km long, has 21 stations, passes through Quoc Oai commune for 2.84 km with 2 stations and an area of about 7.03 hectares. When completed and put into operation in 2030, line 5 will contribute to reducing the load on Thang Long Avenue, promoting socio-economic development in the western part of the city.

Hanoi approves detailed planning of Thuong Cat urban functional area

The Hanoi People's Committee has just approved the detailed planning of Thuong Cat Urban Functional Area, scale 1/500, with a total area of 143.2 hectares in Thuong Cat Ward, Tay Tuu Ward and O Dien Commune. The planning aims to build a modern, synchronous urban area, with technical and social infrastructure connecting neighboring areas, serving as a legal basis for construction investment management.

The project is divided into 3 functional areas including groups of public works, townhouses, villas, social housing, schools, training research, trees and national defense land. The architectural space is organized along the East-West axis, oriented towards sustainable ecology, prioritizing trees, water surfaces, natural light, energy-saving and environmentally friendly design. The system of trees, lighting, and public equipment is arranged harmoniously and modernly. The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Planning and Architecture to check and confirm the documents; local units publicly announce the planning project.
