44 passenger trains stopped running, 21,000 tickets refunded due to floods in Central Vietnam

As of 11:00 a.m. on November 23, 2025, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain in the provinces of Gia Lai, Quang Ngai, Dak Lak, and Khanh Hoa, the railway industry had to stop 44 passenger trains, and more than 21,000 tickets were refunded. Many passenger and freight trains are having to stop along the way. Of the passenger trains, only 5 trains have had to stop at Dieu Tri (SE1 with 145 passengers) and Thap Cham (SE8 with 19 passengers since November 19).

As roads were also paralyzed, the railway industry served 9,400 main meals and 6,100 side meals for free to passengers.

Regarding traffic on the route, on November 23, 9 trains stopped running, including: trains SE6/SE5, SE8/SE7 departing from Saigon station, Hanoi ; trains SE22/SE21 departing from Saigon station, Da Nang. In addition, trains SNT2, SNT1 departing from Saigon station, Nha Trang; train SE4 departing from Saigon station stopped running.

At the Dieu Tri - Quy Nhon railway line, the railway industry continues to request to block the entire Dieu Tri - Quy Nhon section for repair.

For the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line, the Phu Hiep - Hao Son section; Hao Son - Dai Lanh section; and Cay Cay - Hoa Tan section still recorded damage. At some locations, the water has receded, the unit is actively repairing and restoring the track as soon as possible. Some slow-running points are being repaired to restore the section speed in the shortest time.
