According to a report by the Government of Brazil, the world's largest coffee producer, despite the decrease in export volume, the turnover still reached 12.7 billion USD, up 27.6% compared to 9.96 billion USD in the same period in 2024. In the period from January to October, Brazil exported 33.2 million 60-kg bags of coffee, 20.3% less than 41.7 million bags in the same period last year.
In terms of types, Arabica coffee continues to dominate the export structure, accounting for 79.9% of total volume, followed by Robusta with 10.5%; the remainder is instant coffee.
Official figures also show a major shift in the export market structure after the US, which was the largest customer for Brazilian coffee until US President Donald Trump imposed a 50% tariff on the South American country's coffee in August, in October alone, exports to the US fell 54.3% compared to the same period in 2024, causing the country to fall to the third largest import market, after Germany and Italy.
Analysts say that despite the decline in export volume, Brazil still benefits from high global coffee prices due to tight supply and stable demand in major markets.
