According to information from the Civil Defense Command of the Ministry of Construction , the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam is deploying a dispatch on responding to storm No. 11 (international name Matmo), in which it is assessed that Cat Bi and Van Don International Airports will be directly affected by this storm.

In addition, Noi Bai International Airport, Vinh Airport, and Tho Xuan Airport are required to be ready to respond when the storm has unusual changes.
In the face of the complex developments of storm No. 11, the Aviation Weather Warning Center will continuously update the situation and forecast wind speeds at airports to promptly manage flight operations. Airlines are required to proactively adjust flight schedules to ensure safe operations. The Northern Airport Authority is assigned to strengthen inspection and supervision of storm response at airports.
Previously, the Ministry of Construction sent a telegram requesting specialized Departments, affiliated units, and Construction Departments from Quang Ninh to Lam Dong to concentrate forces to prepare to respond to storm No. 11.
For the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, airlines, aviation service companies, and the Ministry of Construction, it is required to closely monitor weather developments in areas affected by the storm, adjust or change flight schedules accordingly to ensure absolute safety of flight operations; strengthen inspection of airports, terminals, communication systems, flight operations and command to promptly detect and handle incidents.
Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) also said it has directed units to urgently review and update response plans, fully prepare forces, materials, and equipment according to the motto "3 before, 4 on-site", to avoid being surprised.
Forecasting and providing meteorological information are required to be maintained continuously and accurately, serving flight command and control in a timely manner. Technical and air traffic control units have increased inspection of equipment systems, are on duty 24/7, and are ready to stop, shut down or restore operations when necessary, to ensure safety and smooth flight operations.
