Ms. Do My Phuong, a parent, said her grandchild had lunch at 1:30 p.m. An hour later, the teacher informed the family that the child was not feeling well and had to be hospitalized.
"My grandchild said the minced pork noodles for lunch had a strange smell," said Mrs. Phuong while taking care of her grandchild at the hospital.
Doctor Danh Ty, Deputy Director of Kien Giang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, said that these students showed symptoms of food poisoning. They were given IV fluids to prevent shock and were given medication according to the protocol.
After about two hours, the poisoning subsided, no severe cases were detected, and doctors continued to closely monitor the situation.
The health sector has asked the school to seal all food for inspection and to determine the cause.
