Head of the Legal Committee of the An Giang Provincial People's Council Pham Van Mau requested the Provincial Inspectorate to explain the settlement of complicated and prolonged complaints.
At the meeting, the Legal Department basically agreed with the content of the reports of the Provincial People's Committee on the work of handling complaints, denunciations and preventing and combating corruption and negativity in the first 6 months of the year; at the same time, contributed additional comments on directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.
Meeting scene
In the first 6 months of 2025, all levels and sectors reviewed and resolved 230/368 complaints and denunciations (reaching 62%). In general, the work of resolving complaints and denunciations in the province has changed. Heads of state management agencies have performed well the work of receiving citizens periodically and suddenly according to regulations; paid attention to resolving complaints and denunciations arising under their authority, and in many cases, they withdrew and terminated complaints.

However, the number of complaints that are not within the jurisdiction to be handled accounts for a high proportion, about 80% of the total number of complaints that are eligible for handling. For complicated and prolonged complaints, although the Central working groups and the Provincial People's Committee have received and explained the law many times, and the people clearly understand the regulations, they still do not comply with the decisions that have been resolved in accordance with the law.
