This is the 18th time the Domestic Market Department's Exhibition Room (62 Trang Tien, Hanoi ) has opened its doors, welcoming visitors to learn about the products.
With the theme "Understand genuine goods - Avoid fake goods", this exhibition helps raise people's awareness of the harmful effects of fake goods and enhance their ability to identify products on the market.
The organizers displayed over 500 genuine and fake products, collected by the market management force during the inspection and handling of violations as well as the representatives of genuine trademark owners. The products span many fields including food, agricultural products, cosmetics, functional foods, fashion , footwear, auto and motorbike spare parts, etc.
A notable highlight is the appearance of many products provided by the Japan Intellectual Property Association for display and introduction to Vietnamese consumers, including: Asics sports shoes, Yonex badminton rackets, Canon camera batteries, Transino cosmetics, YKK zippers, NGK spark plugs... These are all product lines with high consumption demand, easily counterfeited due to their high value. At the showroom, each product has clear real - fake verification, helping visitors directly compare and identify each different detail, from material, design to label in an intuitive and vivid way.
Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development Tran Huu Linh emphasized that opening the showroom is a practical activity, contributing to spreading legal knowledge and improving consumers' self-protection capacity.
"I hope the event will contribute to promoting the building of a transparent and safe market and raising awareness of smart consumption in the context of increasingly sophisticated counterfeit goods, especially on e-commerce platforms," said Mr. Huu Linh.

At the event, Deputy Head of Market Management Department, Department of Domestic Market Management and Development Nguyen Duc Le directly instructed consumers on how to distinguish between real and fake shampoo. Mr. Le said the most recognizable sign is the color: Real products are darker and sharper.
According to Mr. Le, the situation of counterfeit goods, fake goods and intellectual property rights violations is becoming more and more complicated. Counterfeit products are becoming more and more sophisticated, spreading from food, cosmetics to motorbike and car parts and electronics.

After a period of implementation, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development has built a database center for businesses to declare products, serving traceability for both management agencies and consumers.
At the same time, coordinate with brands to build brand identities and instruction documents; cooperate with technology enterprises to develop big data systems applying AI and blockchain in traceability.
The Genuine - Fake Goods Gallery is open to visitors from November 21-25, 2025, from 9am to 5pm daily.
