7 units received the award for excellent excerpts at the 2023 National Festival of Good Excerpts and Stage Arts

On the evening of June 1, in Phu Ly city, Ha Nam province, the Vietnam Stage Artists Association, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Ha Nam province to organize the summary of the 2023 National Festival of Stage Art Excerpts at the Ha Nam Cultural House.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Le Thi Thuy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee, along with leaders of Ha Nam province and leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism , and many artists and people.

Ho Chi Minh City won many awards at the 2023 National Festival of Dramatic Art Excerpts

At the closing ceremony of the Festival, the Organizing Committee honored 54 actors who won Gold Medals and 60 actors who won Silver Medals. Ho Chi Minh City had artists who won Gold Medals including: Nguyen Van Khoi, Diem Trinh, Le Trinh, Hai Long, Hoang Hai

The organizing committee also honored 7 excellent excerpts: "The stars do not go out" (Ha Nam Province Cultural and Art Center); "The waves of hatred of Luc Dau Giang" (Vietnam Tuong Theater); "The injustice of a time" ( Hanoi Cheo Theater); "Bury the clown" (Ninh Binh Cheo Theater); "Cuc oi" (Vietnam Circus Federation); "White night" (Vietnam Drama Theater); "Red river" (Tran Huu Trang Opera Theater).

Artists Kim Thuy, Hoang Hai and Nha Thy (Tran Huu Trang Theater) won awards at the 2023 National Festival of Best Stage Art Excerpts

There are also 2 excellent orchestras (Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theater Orchestra, Thai Binh Cheo Theater Orchestra), 1 excellent musician (Meritorious Artist Vu Dinh Cuong of Thai Binh Cheo Theater) and 1 youngest actor (little Gia Bao with the role of little Bao in the excerpt "Giac Mo Khong Co Thuat" of Hai Phong Cai Luong Troupe).

At the Closing Ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 54 Gold and 60 Silver prizes to actors; 7 excellent excerpts; excellent orchestra, excellent musicians; certificates of merit to young actors and groups and individuals who made many contributions to the organization of the Festival.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Festival, People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui, President of the Vietnam Stage Artists Association and Head of the Festival Steering Committee, assessed that from this art festival, artists have gained more knowledge and professional experience, and will continue to constantly improve their skills, contributing meaningful and quality works to society.

Artist Hoang Hai won a gold medal in the solo excerpt "Temptation of the Royal Family" directed by Chi Linh.

Art units hope to continue receiving attention from provinces and cities in investing in facilities, human resources, and training a team of young artists to improve the quality of performing arts, serving the spiritual life of the people.

Speaking at the conclusion of the artistic quality, Playwright - Dr. Nguyen Dang Chuong, Chairman of the Festival Jury, commented: 106 excerpts from the art forms of Cheo, Tuong, Cai Luong, folk drama, spoken drama, and circus, although not a complete picture depicting the appearance of Vietnamese stage art in the integration period, are enough elements for us to perceive and evaluate the stage art's position in the face of the demands of social life and the people's need to enjoy art.

The rich diversity of topics in the excerpts is a testament to the sense of responsibility, determination to explore, to clarify the murky, to directly reflect or to use old stories to talk about the present, to mention many aspects of society and people in the creative thinking of the artists. This is what makes the Festival colorful, not boring, and sows different emotions in the audience.

He also emphasized that although the excerpts are not a complete picture depicting the appearance of Vietnamese stage art in the integration period, they are enough elements for us to perceive and evaluate the stage art's position in the face of the demands of social life and the people's need to enjoy art.
