6 Vietnamese students won tickets to participate in ICT Competition in Asia region

Huawei Vietnam and the Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VDCA) have successfully organized the ICT Competition 2023 - 2024 by finding 6 outstanding students to win the National round, secure tickets to compete in the Asia- Pacific regional round and have the opportunity to participate in the global final round held in Shenzhen (China).

The best students of the ICT Competition 2023 - 2024 received certificates of merit and awards from Huawei.

Held annually since 2015, Huawei ICT Competition is a competition for students majoring in information technology at universities and academies around the world . To date, the competition has recorded the participation of more than 150,000 students from 2,000 universities and colleges.

Through the competition, Huawei hopes to share the latest technological knowledge that the group has worked hard to research and develop, promoting digital integration for the future generation.

Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 is the second season held in Vietnam. Huawei cooperates with Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VDCA) to create a healthy technology playground, helping to equip and improve the latest technology knowledge for students so that they are ready to participate in the digital human resources in the future.

This year, the competition attracted the participation of students from universities with diverse majors from technology to economics . Notably, the competition recorded the number of female students accounting for 17% of the total number of registrations. This number has shown Huawei's support and encouragement of women to participate in information technology training programs, providing fair opportunities for young talents to narrow the gender gap in the industry.

After more than a month of studying with Huawei's treasure trove of ICT technology knowledge, the contest found 6 outstanding faces with the highest scores in the national round.

With Cloud track content:

● First prize: Bui Quoc An, student of Cryptography Engineering Academy

● Second prize: Nguyen Hiep, student of Foreign Trade University

● Third prize: Nguyen Quang Huy, student of the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology

With Network Track content:

● First prize: Nguyen Triet, student of University of Natural Sciences

● Second prize: Dang Phuong Khoi Nguyen, student of FPT University

● Third prize: Nguyen Dac Phuc, student of University of Economics and Technology

Students participating in the competition experience many discussions and learning sessions.

These six outstanding students will continue to compete in the Asia-Pacific regional round scheduled to be held in February 2024, for the opportunity to advance to the global finals held in Shenzhen, China. The students will also visit Huawei's headquarters, experience an international learning environment, and engage with leading experts in the technology industry.

Through the competition, we demonstrate our personal qualities and inspire other young talents to pursue their passion for technology. Not only stopping at the scale of the competition, we hope that students will continuously improve their knowledge and participate in the human resources to support and develop the country in the digital transformation process.

Within the framework of the competition, Huawei Vietnam organized a workshop "Capturing technology trends with Huawei" at the University of Economics and Technology to share about new technologies being researched and developed by Huawei (AI, IoT, Cloud, Datacom,...).

Along with that, Huawei also shared about the group's talent training programs and reliable knowledge sources available on the Huawei Talent online learning platform.
