At the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Hanoi Youth Union mobilized 8,800 volunteers to carry out tasks such as: Guiding delegates and distributing necessities at the Ba Dinh Square grandstand area; distributing necessities to people at points along the parade route; managing warehouses, allocating and transporting items to distribution points; supporting the assurance of security, order and environmental sanitation; supporting the reception of delegations of people from provinces and cities across the country and international delegations attending the Anniversary Ceremony.
Speaking at the program, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union and Chairman of the Hanoi Student Association Nguyen Tien Hung said that 80 years ago, union members and young people were the vanguard force standing up with the entire population to fight for national independence and freedom.
"Today, in a sacred and proud atmosphere, the youth of the Capital are honored to be assigned by the City to carry out important tasks in organizing the Great Ceremony. This is an opportunity for each young person to express their national pride and spirit of dedication.
The 8,800 union members and young people present today are honored to represent nearly 3 million youths, and more than 600,000 union members in the capital Hanoi; together we will undertake tasks, from welcoming and supporting delegations, people from provinces and cities and international delegations to ensuring security and order, ensuring environmental sanitation.
The work was carried out over a large area stretching from the grandstand at Ba Dinh Square to more than 10km of streets on the parade routes.
This is a large amount of work that requires good health, scientific working methods and above all, a pioneering spirit and a desire to contribute," said comrade Nguyen Tien Hung.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Hung believes that, with the spirit of "Where there is a need, there is youth, where there is difficulty, there is youth", you will excellently complete all assigned tasks. Every smile, every word, every action of you represents the image of the youth of the capital in particular and the youth of Vietnam in general. You will be the ones who directly contribute to spreading national pride, creating a beautiful and impressive image of the capital Hanoi, and further, the image of young Vietnamese people to people across the country and international friends.
Volunteers are carefully selected for their political and moral qualities, good academic performance, some groups of volunteers have good foreign language skills, and are in good health to perform assigned tasks. The City Youth Union arranges more than 200 cars to transport the forces to ensure the safety and efficiency of volunteers during the performance of their tasks.
At the program, the Hanoi Youth Union will present uniform items such as shirts, hats, volunteer cards, etc. and organize training for volunteers. The training content includes necessary skills such as: Supporting security and order, ensuring environmental sanitation, guiding escape, moving victims, first aid... notes when performing tasks, while emphasizing style, discipline and ensuring safety... Through the program, the youth of the capital convey national pride and the spirit of dedication, ready to serve the Great National Day.
