On the morning of September 28, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry held the opening ceremony for the new school year 2023-2024. Among the more than 500 students at the ceremony was Huynh Minh Kien, runner-up of Miss World Vietnam 2023 , a second-year student majoring in business administration.

Runner-up Huynh Minh Kien is a second-year student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry.

At the ceremony, the school awarded certificates of merit to students with high results in the 2023 regular university entrance exam according to 3 admission methods: Tran Nguyen Truc Quynh achieved 29.4 points in the admission method based on academic records; Do Ngoc Bich Tram achieved 27.3 points in the high school graduation exam score method; Luong Tien Thinh achieved 975 points in the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test score method. In addition, the valedictorians of the training groups and 46 outstanding students with excellent academic results and good achievements in the 2022-2023 school year were also awarded.

In particular, Huynh Minh Kien was awarded by the school for his outstanding achievements in community cultural activities.

Besides, Minh Kien sent his best wishes to the new students and hoped that they would have a good school year, spending their youth at the university.

From her own experience, the second-year female student continued: "When Kien took the exam, Kien was just a first-year student. But Kien dared to boldly speak up thanks to the help of teachers and seniors. Thanks to their enthusiastic support and assistance, Kien has achieved the results she has today."

Huynh Minh Kien was born in 2004, from Ninh Thuan . Kien is 1.71m tall with measurements of 80 - 61 - 90 cm and won the 2nd runner-up title of Miss World Vietnam 2023 in July this year.
