ABBank achieves ISO 27001:2022 certification for information security

ABBANK's Information Security System is deployed, applied and maintained under the consultancy of Software Development and Technology Support Joint Stock Company (Misoft).

With the orientation of becoming one of the leading retail banks, ABBANK is actively implementing digital transformation solutions to improve infrastructure quality as well as bring the most convenient experience to customers. At the same time, the Bank also focuses on ensuring high-level information security standards, thereby limiting risks when operating the system as well as supporting customer protection when using ABBANK's digital services.

ISO 27001:2022 (or ISO/IEC 27001:2022), updated, changed and supplemented from ISO/IEC 27001:2013 to adapt to advances in information technology and constantly changing security risks, requiring a flexible and timely approach to building resilience for businesses. Prioritizing the optimization of technology infrastructure and management, ensuring information security, ABBANK deployed the system with advice from Misoft and successfully became the first bank in Vietnam to achieve this new standard certification.

Finance - Banking - ABBank achieves ISO 27001:2022 certification on information security — Recently, An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ABBANK) was awarded ISO 27001:2022 Certificate on Information Security by the British Standards Institute (BSI).

Talking to Nguoi Dua Tin, Mr. Tran Viet Thang - Director of ABBANK's Banking Technology Division said: "ABBANK always identifies information security as the foundation for developing IT applications for banks and customers, so we have chosen the international standard ISO 27001 to operate the Information Security management system to ensure the safety of bank data and customer transactions, as well as for the sustainable development of ABBANK in the future."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam - Chief Representative of BSI Hanoi Office, added: “ABBANK, with the support of the consulting team from Misoft, has made efforts to contribute and continuously improve the system to quickly meet the more special needs of ISO 27001:2022 compared to the old version. ABBANK is also one of the leading banks in Vietnam to meet the highest global security requirements under this new certification, affirming that it always respects and commits to protecting customers' assets as well as the organization's information data sources.”

Regarding this issue, Mr. Vu Bao Thach - General Director of Misoft shared with Nguoi Dua Tin : "As soon as the ISO 27001:2022 certification version was available, which is currently the highest global information security standard, ABBANK became the pioneer bank in Vietnam to update and upgrade.
