At Van Don Airport, flights VN1286 and VN1287 between Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don will be adjusted, expected to take off and land after 2:00 p.m. on July 22.

For Cat Bi Airport on July 22, flights VN1176 and VN1177 between Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong, along with VN1670 and VN1671 between Da Nang and Hai Phong will have their operating times adjusted, taking off and landing at Cat Bi after 2:00 p.m. Flights in the evening of the same day are expected to operate as planned.

At Tho Xuan Airport on July 22, flights VN1276 and VN1277; VN7264 and VN7265 between Ho Chi Minh City and Tho Xuan will be operated early, taking off at Tho Xuan before 11:00. Flights VN1278 and VN1279; VN7268 and VN7269; VN7276 and VN7277 on the same day will be canceled.

At Noi Bai Airport, Vietnam Airlines is continuing to closely monitor the weather tonight and tomorrow morning to decide on appropriate operations.

In addition, many domestic and international flights on July 22 may be affected by the chain reaction of storm Wipha.

Vietnam Airlines Group recommends that passengers fasten their seat belts throughout the flight, especially in complex weather conditions. Actively fastening your seat belt, even when the signal light is off, is an important measure to help minimize risks when the plane encounters air turbulence.

Vietnam Airlines deeply regrets the change in the operating schedule due to unforeseen weather factors and hopes to receive sympathy from passengers. Flight times may continue to be adjusted depending on the actual situation. The airline will update information via the media and contact information in the passenger's booking records.

Directly inspecting the preparations for responding to storm No. 3 (Wipha) at Noi Bai International Airport on the night of July 21, Mr. Uong Viet Dung, Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, reminded Noi Bai International Airport not to be subjective in the face of unusual weather developments and requested all forces at the port to try to maintain 24/7 on-duty until there is official information from the authorities to return to normal.

The Director General requested the air traffic management unit to closely monitor and promptly provide all meteorological information in the port area.

Previously, at an emergency meeting to respond to storm No. 3 on the afternoon of July 21, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam decided to temporarily stop receiving and operating aircraft at Van Don and Cat Bi International Airports from 11pm on July 21 to 12pm on July 22.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires Noi Bai International Airport and Tho Xuan Airport to continue monitoring meteorological reports and propose appropriate adjustments to their operating plans; airlines proactively notify passengers of flight plan adjustments so that they can plan their travel accordingly.

Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) is assigned to focus 100% of human resources and equipment to ensure aviation meteorological forecasting at airports to promptly provide meteorological forecast information on the impact of storms./.
