According to Mr. Shousha, this logistics center will be used to store and preserve humanitarian aid before it is transported into the Gaza Strip. The center will include areas for waiting trucks, storage warehouses, administrative offices and accommodation for drivers.

Humanitarian aid is delivered to Al-Arish by air, land and sea. The new center will ease the burden on drivers, reduce traffic congestion in Al-Arish city and on the roads, and facilitate the Egyptian Red Crescent in delivering humanitarian aid to the people in Gaza.
