According to Engadget , the new feature announced at Google I/O 2023 will give developers access to AI-powered tools to help them create new store listings and translate their existing app listings into multiple languages.
Implementing AI offers many advantages for developers.
App developers have already been able to create up to 50 custom listings, but Google hopes these new tools will make managing them easier. The company introduced a store listing grouping feature that allows developers to create a base listing for their app, then modify specific elements to tailor that listing to a particular demographic or audience.
New AI-powered features appear to be designed to make this easier. For example, an AI assistant can take developer prompts highlighting a key feature or marketing theme and provide pre-generated text to guide users to targeted store listings. There's also a new machine translation tool that can help developers quickly list their apps in 10 different languages.
While most of these new features are designed to help developers find and expand their audience, at least one new tool is being rolled out for the average user : AI-powered review summaries. Google says this feature will help users understand what makes an app special. This is designed to help apps reach more users.
