On May 21, at Ba Doc Martyrs Cemetery, Ly Trach Commune, Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province, a solemn memorial service and burial ceremony was held for the remains of 17 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Khammouane Province (Laos), gathered during the 2024-2025 dry season.

Representatives of leaders of Quang Binh province, Khammouane province, Military Region 4 and units, departments, agencies and people of Quang Binh offered flowers to heroes and martyrs at Ba Doc Martyrs Cemetery.

Attending the ceremony were comrades; Le Ngoc Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee; Tran Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee; Vong-phet Chit-pan-nha, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Khammouane Provincial Party Committee (Laos); Major General Hoang Duy Chien, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4; along with representatives of leaders of departments, branches, armed forces, and a large number of youth union members, martyrs' relatives and local people.

Comrade Le Ngoc Quang - Secretary of Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, together with cadres and soldiers, buried the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Xuan Tan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of Steering Committee 515 of Quang Binh province expressed his deep gratitude to the outstanding sons of the Fatherland who fell for the cause of national liberation and the special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos. The leaders of Quang Binh province thanked the specialized forces of Quang Binh and Khammouane provinces for not fearing difficulties, tirelessly searching for and collecting the remains of martyrs over the past many years.

After the funeral, delegates and people attending the ceremony respectfully laid wreaths, offered incense and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the great contributions of the heroic martyrs and buried the martyrs' remains at Ba Doc Martyrs Cemetery.
