Eat quickly, sleep quickly, work 3 shifts and 4 shifts on traffic projects

On January 1, the Government Office informed that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Official Dispatch No. 01/CD-TTg requesting to continue promoting the highest sense of responsibility and speeding up the progress of investment in construction of transport infrastructure projects and works.

The telegram clearly stated that even during the 2024 New Year holidays, on key traffic projects across the country, cadres, employees and laborers... are still working enthusiastically.

All with the spirit of "only work, no retreat", "overcome the sun, overcome the rain", "not lose to the pandemic", "eat quickly, sleep urgently", work "3 shifts, 4 shifts", work through holidays, Tet, and days off to speed up the progress of works and projects.

On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister congratulated the new year with new victories, thanked, acknowledged, appreciated and commended the ministries, branches, localities, construction forces, consultants, officers, workers... for their efforts and determination to bring the projects to completion on schedule, ahead of schedule, improve quality, ensure environmental sanitation, labor safety...

In the coming time, the Prime Minister suggested continuing to promote the spirit of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", "not losing to the pandemic", "eating quickly, sleeping urgently", working in "3 shifts and 4 shifts", working through holidays and Tet, especially during the Lunar New Year and the dry season of 2024.

Further enhance responsibility to speed up construction progress, improve the quality of works and projects, and strive to complete ahead of schedule.

In all cases of difficulties, problems and obstacles, all levels, sectors and forces participating in project and construction implementation need to work together, "only discuss progress, not retreat", have the highest determination, be proactive, creative, dare to think and dare to do to overcome all challenges and bring the project to the finish line.

Improve the quality of construction works in each stage and each phase; make efforts, innovate and create right from the design idea stage so that the construction and project not only have the best quality but also demonstrate the unique cultural features and imprints, historical values of the region, area and place.

The Minister of Transport shall preside over and coordinate with the Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises and the Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committees to propagate, encourage, motivate and reward collectives and individuals, creating a new atmosphere and enhancing the spirit of emulation and production in important national works and projects, key to the transport sector.

Urgently complete investment procedures, especially the selection of investors to start construction of expressway projects in 2024 according to the set plan.

The Ministry of Construction strengthens state management of construction, continues to guide and inspect localities in price management, announcement of construction material prices; reviews and amends inadequacies in construction norms.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment promptly advises the Government on allocating investment capital for transport projects and works; closely coordinates with competent agencies to speed up the appraisal of projects.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment strengthens state management in granting construction material mining licenses; continues to guide localities and remove obstacles in granting material mines according to specific mechanisms.

The Ministry of Finance closely coordinates with competent authorities to review and speed up the settlement of procedures related to ODA loans and loans from international organizations for transport projects.

Localities mobilized the entire political system to participate, propagate and mobilize people to speed up the progress of site clearance and relocation of technical infrastructure, focusing on investing in the construction of resettlement areas, ensuring that people have new housing that is at least equal to or better than their old housing.

Direct all levels and sectors to closely coordinate with investors and construction contractors to do a good job of propaganda, mobilization, support, create more jobs and livelihoods for local people, create excitement and attachment "when you go, people remember, when you stay, people love".
