On July 21, domestic airlines simultaneously announced adjustments to flight schedules on July 21 and 22 to ensure absolute safety for passengers and crew.
Many domestic flights were canceled or had their departure times changed, especially at airports in the affected areas such as Cat Bi (Hai Phong), Van Don (Quang Ninh) and Noi Bai ( Hanoi ).

It is expected that on July 22, Vietnam Airlines flights at Cat Bi airport will only be operated after 12 noon, depending on the actual weather conditions. In addition, many domestic and other flights on July 21 and 22 may also be affected by this adjustment.

Flight delays or changes may continue in the coming days depending on the progress of Typhoon Wipha. Passengers are also advised to keep their seatbelts fastened throughout the flight, even when the seatbelt is off, to ensure safety in bad weather conditions.
At the same time, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has issued an urgent dispatch requesting the entire industry to urgently deploy measures to respond to storm No. 3. The Authority requested airports in the affected areas - especially Cat Bi, Van Don and Noi Bai - to coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect and evaluate infrastructure, communication systems and stations.
In addition, airports need to proactively implement measures to prevent flooding, clear waterways, protect equipment, vehicles and technical facilities. The goal is to minimize damage caused by storm No. 3 and soon stabilize operations to serve people's travel needs.

At Noi Bai airport, authorities have also increased coordination to ensure order at the terminal, while advising passengers to closely monitor information from airlines and proactively adjust their travel plans accordingly.
In the context of prolonged storms and unpredictable developments, airlines said that information on adjustments will continue to be updated via websites, applications, call centers and communication channels recorded in ticket bookings.
