Arsenal reach agreement to sign Eze

Arsenal received a nod from Crystal Palace to recruit attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze in the summer transfer window of 2025.

Eze will bring creativity to Arsenal's midfield.

According to The Times , the deal is worth £55m, with £30m paid immediately and the remainder paid in add-ons. Eze has agreed personal terms with Arsenal and has expressed his excitement at the prospect of joining the north Londoners, where he will have the chance to challenge for the Premier League title and play in the Champions League.

The deal will be announced once Crystal Palace have found a replacement. Eze, who scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists in 43 games for Palace last season, is highly regarded by Mikel Arteta for his ability to play in a number of attacking positions, including as an attacking midfielder and on the left wing.

According to FourFourTwo , Arteta sees Eze as the ideal option to compete with Martin Odegaard at No. 10 or replace Gabriel Martinelli on the left wing, providing variation and the ability to link up the midfield and attack.

The deal marks Arsenal's seventh summer signing, following Kepa Arrizabalaga, Noni Madueke, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Cristhian Mosquera and Viktor Gyökeres.
