Launched in the Vietnamese market from May 2024, the DB12 is a sports coupe that succeeds the DB11 and is also the latest product in Aston Martin's GT range. Notably, this is currently the only Aston Martin DB12 imported into the country. Although it belongs to the expensive luxury car segment with elegant design and modern technology, the car model is being sold by a car dealership for more than 16 billion VND, a sharp decrease compared to the price of approximately 25 billion VND when it was licensed.
According to research, the starting price of the Aston Martin DB12 in Vietnam is about 19.5 billion VND, not including personalization packages. The owner spent more than 3 billion VND on high-end options, bringing the total value of the car after registration to nearly 25 billion VND. Thus, the discount of 9 billion VND, equivalent to 36% after only 600km of operation, is a number that surprises many people. The Aston Martin DB12 for sale is painted in Satin Aston Martin Racing Green, a distinctive matte finish reminiscent of the British automaker's traditional racing colors. It comes with a carbon fiber trim package including front lip, side mirror covers, side skirts, and rear bumper, adding to the sporty and luxurious look. The DB12's cabin has a luxurious sporty style, with a black and red color scheme, cooled sports seats, a heated steering wheel, and many matte carbon details to enhance the aesthetics. In particular, the standard 11-speaker sound system has been upgraded to a 1,170W Bowers & Wilkins 15-speaker system, providing a premium sound experience for those sitting inside.
The heart of the Aston Martin DB12 is a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing 671 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, combined with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. The car is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, before reaching a maximum speed of up to 325 km/h - parameters that clearly show strong performance despite the car's orientation towards smoothness and sophistication. In the market, high-performance GT models such as Aston Martin or Ferrari are often not widely popular in Vietnam due to a narrow customer base. Some cars in the same segment also recorded rapid depreciation, such as the Aston Martin DB11, which was sold for only VND 14 billion in early 2025 despite having only rolled 1,400km, nearly VND 5 billion lower than the new price.
Other GT models such as the Ferrari 812 Superfast or Portofino M are also available in very limited quantities in Vietnam – only about two of each model are imported. Therefore, despite the deep discounts, finding a buyer for the DB12 is not easy. This is a car line aimed at a special group of customers - those who love elegance, discretion and class, in contrast to the ostentatious, muscular image of racing supercars such as Ferrari, Lamborghini or McLaren. Therefore, although the selling price is more attractive than when it was first launched, the DB12 is still a luxury "toy" that is picky about its players but has a strong personality for those looking for a difference in the increasingly bustling world of supercars in Vietnam.
