Boosting the attraction of healthcare personnel and investing in primary healthcare.

According to Dr. Do Thi Nguyen, Director of the Dong Nai Department of Health: Based on the guiding principles, objectives, tasks, and practical solutions outlined in Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW, dated September 9, 2025, of the Politburo on breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care, and improvement of people's health, the Department of Health has developed tasks and solutions to implement in 2026.

Accordingly, regarding infrastructure and equipment investment, the Department of Health continues to implement transitional projects, new projects, and projects under preparation for investment as notified by the Department of Finance. It continues to advise and propose the implementation of new construction, upgrading, and expansion projects for public health facilities (general and specialized hospitals: Obstetrics - Pediatrics; Long Thanh, Binh Phuoc, ENT, etc.; regional health centers: Bu Dang, Bu Dop, Bien Hoa, Phuoc Long, Binh Long, Chon Thanh, Vinh Cuu, Thong Nhat) and the addition of equipment for these units.

Regarding human resources, the province continues to collaborate with medical universities to implement various types of training for healthcare professionals . Doctors are assigned to work at the grassroots level, and training for this level is being strengthened. Efforts continue to attract doctors, ensuring that by 2026, 92% of commune and ward health stations and other health station locations meet the requirements for health insurance examination and treatment, achieving a ratio of 10.6 doctors per 10,000 people.

During a recent meeting with the Department of Health, Mr. Le Truong Son, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, instructed the Department of Health to urgently finalize and propose a mechanism for attracting and retaining human resources in the health sector for submission to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and approval. This aims to strengthen the workforce in the health sector, especially high-quality personnel. This will contribute to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for people at all levels, particularly at the grassroots level.

Regarding the socialization of healthcare, in 2026, the Dong Nai health sector will continue to invite investors to implement projects such as: Nursing and Rehabilitation Hospital; Oncology Hospital; International General Hospital; Nursing Home and Elderly Healthcare Center…; and centers for: Cardiology, Obstetrics and Pediatrics, Ear, Nose and Throat, Nephrology and Urology, Stroke, and Emergency 115…
