Fast communication, low latency
5G is a new mobile internet technology being deployed by a number of network operators in the province. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, Head of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications (Department of Science and Technology), 5G provides a large amount of data, uses less energy, supports artificial intelligence applications, the Internet of Things, and has a much lower latency in sending and receiving signals than 4G. Using the 5G network not only facilitates communication and sending signals between people but also between robots and robots in production and operating equipment in many fields. Therefore, reducing latency or moving towards zero latency in sending signals is an important goal. "Thanks to the advantages of speed, connectivity and security, 5G allows businesses to process and analyze larger volumes of data at optimal costs," said Mr. Duc.

Investing in and expanding broadcasting stations
With many advantages of 5G, in the future this technology will be applied in all aspects of life such as: Logistics enterprises; traffic regulation and monitoring; delivery, aviation... thereby increasingly promoting the development of the digital economy. In fact, the digital economy is increasingly playing a key role in promoting socio-economic development, especially in the context of globalization and the fourth industrial revolution. According to the General Statistics Office (Ministry of Finance), in 2024, out of 63 provinces and centrally run cities, there are 5 provinces and cities with the proportion of added value of the digital economy in GRDP of over 20%, of which Bac Giang is in the lead with 43.6%. Thus, Bac Giang's digital economy has made certain changes.
