Bac Lieu tests operation of 7 new communes and wards

(Chinhphu.vn) - On June 20, Bac Lieu province tested the operation of 7 new communes and wards in the area, including: Bac Lieu ward, Gia Rai ward, Vinh Loi commune, Hoa Binh commune, Phuoc Long commune, Hong Dan commune and Long Dien commune. Accordingly, Bac Lieu province leaders directly inspected the operation of new wards and communes.

Accordingly, Standing Deputy Secretary of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee Huynh Quoc Viet attended and inspected the trial operation of the apparatus of the Party and government agencies of Bac Lieu ward (new).

Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet emphasized that by July 1, the two-level local government model will be officially implemented and the two provinces of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu will be merged. Therefore, the trial operation must be carried out in the spirit of doing it for real and effectively. At the same time, he requested the Preparatory Committee of the wards to have a firm grasp of technology to organize and operate the work quickly and smoothly.

Officials and civil servants need to proactively research, understand and apply well word processing software and administrative procedures to process procedures quickly and neatly, without making mistakes and making people wait.

In his speech, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Van Thieu emphasized the importance of carefully preparing the content and documents as well as organizing the trial operation of Party Committee and People's Committee meetings. Implementing a streamlined 2-level government apparatus has the ultimate goal of being close to the people to serve the people.

Units need to continue to complete and fully test operations before officially going into operation from July 1, to ensure smooth direction, operation and service to the people.

At Hoa Binh commune, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee Ta Trung Dung and the working delegation attended the trial operation of the commune.

The delegation inspected the situation in the area where administrative procedures are publicly posted; the place where documents are received and digitized; and the waiting area for organizations and individuals to contact for work.

During the trial operation of the Document Management and Operation System, the commune officials tested the method of receiving documents on the iOffice system; the commune leaders processed and directed in the digital environment, and implemented digital signatures. At the same time, the commune also tested the organization of a meeting of the Commune People's Committee to review and approve the Working Regulations, the People's Committee's work program, etc.

Attending the conference on the operation of the local government at two levels in Phuoc Long commune, Head of the Organizing Committee of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Thuy requested that the apparatus must be ready for operation. The commune preparatory committee needs to urgently review all work in the political system so that when the district-level activities end and the new commune after the merger is operated, the new apparatus can operate basically smoothly. In addition to preparing to operate the apparatus, the commune needs to focus on preparing documents for the Party Congress of the commune for the 2025-2030 term.
