On the afternoon of September 15, the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau announced the decision to transfer Mr. Le Minh Quang, principal of Le Hong Phong High School (Vinh Trach Ward), to be principal of Le Van Dau High School (Vinh Loi Commune, Ca Mau Province).

At the same time, the department assigned Mr. Duong Hai Dang - Vice Principal of Le Hong Phong High School - to temporarily run the school until a decision is made to appoint a new principal.

Previously, when he was the principal of Phan Ngoc Hien High School (formerly Le Hong Phong High School, Bac Lieu City, former Bac Lieu Province), Mr. Quang was accused by teachers of 5 contents. The verification results of the Bac Lieu Department of Education and Training showed that 3 contents were correct, 1 was partially correct.

Specifically, Mr. Quang did not comply with the teaching quota but still received full preferential allowances for teachers for the 3 school years 2021 - 2022 up to now.

In addition, he also directed the collection and disbursement of graduation exam preparation money and scholarship funds in violation of regulations. Despite being warned and reminded, he continued to have homeroom teachers notify parents to collect the money at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.

The teachers' council of Phan Ngoc Hien High School has agreed to review and draw lessons from the collective about Mr. Quang's financial revenue and expenditure violations.

Phan Ngoc Hien High School was renamed Le Hong Phong High School after Bac Lieu province merged with Ca Mau province, establishing the new Ca Mau province from July 1, 2025. Previously, Ca Mau province (old) also had a Phan Ngoc Hien High School.
