Bac Ninh: Storm No. 5 causes heavy rain, some localities suffer damage

BAC NINH - As of 9am this morning (August 26), floods continued to rise, causing initial damage to houses, traffic works, and property of people in highland communes in Bac Ninh province. Below are some pictures.

By 9am, the roads in the villages of Lai, Dinh, Dong Tan, Dong Dau, Lot, Ha 2... of Son Dong commune were partially flooded. Heavy rain continued to fall in the above areas. Photo taken in Dinh village, Son Dong commune.

Some roads and many crop areas in Dai Son commune were flooded.

A tree fell onto the road, obstructing traffic in Van Son commune.

Floods on the Luc Nam River continue to rise.

Due to the influence of storm No. 5, the water level on Luc Nam River rose. At 9:00 a.m. on August 26, at Cam Dan Hydrological Station, it reached above alert level 3; at Chu Hydrological Station, it was below alert level 1, and will likely reach alert levels 1 and 2.

In the next 24 hours, flood water levels in the downstream of Luc Nam River will remain high, with the risk of affecting dikes at key locations; deep flooding, flooding of riverside areas, low-lying areas, and large-scale flooding, which can endanger people's lives and production. Therefore, it is recommended that functional agencies and local authorities proactively take response measures to minimize damage caused by floods.
