The commemorative speech by comrade Nguyen Tien Vu, Editor-in-Chief of Bac Ninh Newspaper, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association affirmed: Over the past century, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has continuously developed, becoming a vanguard force on the ideological and cultural front. Under the leadership, direction and facilitation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and departments, branches, localities and units, generations of Bac Ninh journalists have always promoted the spirit of solidarity, constantly trained and improved their political qualities, professional ethics, and professional qualifications, properly implemented the principles and goals, maintained the political orientation, and contributed to building a modern, civilized and unique Bac Ninh province.
Bac Ninh press is constantly innovating and developing. Printed newspapers, television, specialized magazines, and electronic information pages are invested in modernly, spreading information to the public. The Provincial Journalists Association is a common home, a place to gather, protect the rights and enhance the professional capacity of its members. Entering the digital transformation era, Bac Ninh press is determined to innovate, improve the quality of its activities, and continue to promote the glorious 100-year tradition of Vietnam's revolutionary press.
The process of maturing the Vietnamese revolutionary press along with the outstanding achievements and imprints of Bac Ninh press were distilled and vividly demonstrated through the documentary film 100 years of Vietnamese revolutionary press and the process of building and developing Bac Ninh press shown at the Anniversary Ceremony.

The Ngo Gia Tu Press Award is a traditional press award of the province, held annually since 1998. This year, the Standing Committee of the Award Council received 103 works and groups of works from nearly 100 authors and groups of authors. The Award Council organized the judging, final round and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for decision to award prizes to 40 works in two groups of genres with a total prize value of more than 250 million VND. Of which, there are 24 works in Group A (reportage, memoirs, notes, political commentary...) and 16 works in Group B (news, reflection articles, press photos...). The quality of the Ngo Gia Tu Press Award in 2024 is higher than in previous years, the authors invested a lot of time and effort in the process of creating works, from researching and discovering problems, to how to develop content and form of expression of works; many works were well received by the public, creating certain social effects. However, the number of works that fight and criticize corruption, negativity, waste, and violations of the law, and that have a social critical nature, is still small.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan affirmed that Bac Ninh Press, along with the general development of the national press, has constantly innovated, closely reflecting reality, accompanying the socio-economic development of the province. He commended and congratulated the achievements of generations of leaders, cadres, reporters, editors, technicians of the provincial press agencies; resident reporters of the Central press agencies in the locality and journalists in the province over the past long journey; congratulated the 40 works that won the Ngo Gia Tu Press Award in 2024 and expected that Bac Ninh Press would soon have works that won high prizes at the National Press Award on Party building - "Golden Hammer and Sickle" Award.
In the new context, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Bac Ninh press to continue to innovate its thinking, improve its capacity, and affirm its position in the modern media space; focus on implementing key tasks: Perfecting the press organization in a streamlined and modern direction; promoting digital transformation in press activities; improving the quality of content, orientation, humanity and criticism in propaganda work; promoting the spirit of solidarity and the rise of the new Bac Ninh province; paying attention to training and fostering the team of journalists; promoting the effectiveness of the coordination mechanism between the press and all levels and sectors. The provincial leaders pledged to continue to accompany and create favorable conditions for the press to develop, contributing to building Bac Ninh to become increasingly prosperous, civilized and rich in identity.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Journalists Association awarded the "For the Cause of Vietnam Journalism" Medal in recognition of the responsible contributions of provincial leaders and individuals to the development of the country's press. The Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 groups and 16 individuals with outstanding achievements in journalism, information and propaganda activities, Association work and activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
Within the framework of the celebration, delegates and generations of journalists visited the space displaying documentary photos and activities of Bac Ninh press serving the political tasks and socio-economic development of the province.
